So here’s my story and the why about what I do!

I grew up playing games with my family (all generations) and watching gameshows on tv. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and I knew I wanted the children in my class to love learning and have fun whilst doing it.

I worked in some lovely schools that gave me the freedom to try new things, test different ideas out and teach ‘outside of the box’ and it worked! Children learn so much better when they are relaxed, happy and given choice over what they do.

In January 2019, whilst on maternity leave I did some tutoring to earn some pennies and I decided to start sharing some of the games I was using with my students. People seemed to like what I was sharing and started to like my posts and follow me.

5 years later and I have grown my following to 19,000 people and now call Playful Learning Games my business, providing teachers and parents and carers with play-based printable teaching resources for children aged 6-11.

This year I have also started a new venture, ‘2 Weeks 2 Learn’ with the amazing Daisy who has been a cheerleader of mine from very early on and who I am now very pleased to call my work buddy and friend!

Who knew this is where these squares would take me but I am so grateful to every single one of you who have supported me along the way! Let’s keep making sure all children, no matter their age, learn through play.
