Bodycam footage captures Orlando police responding to a bar parking lot after an employee reported a woman passed out behind the wheel. Officers found her slumped over with the engine running and the car in park. When asked to provide her driver's license and registration, she refused. The officer cited Supreme Court case law to make a lawful request for her to exit the vehicle. He detected the odor of alcohol and determined she was under the influence of alcohol with actual physical control of the vehicle. She refused to participate in standardized field sobriety exercises multiple times. After explaining that her refusal could be used as evidence in court, the officer placed her under arrest for DUI. She attempted to resist but was handcuffed and double locked. She was charged with resisting arrest without violence and DUI, then transported to the main jail. She later posted a cash bond.
