Whitehorse Gold (TSX-V:WHG, US OTC:WHGDF) is advancing its brownfield Skukum Gold Project, formerly a high-grade mine that was in operation during the ‘80s.

CEO Gordon Neal spoke to Kitco on Wednesday.

Whitehorse Gold touts a district-scale property in an advanced, brownfield gold camp. Project infrastructure includes an all-weather access road, a 50-person camp, approximately 6 kms of underground development, and a previously operating 300-tpd mill and associated support facilities.

"The project already has some proven metrics on it," said Neal. "The Skukum vein sets produced 79,000 ounces of gold at 10 grams gold. I'm a grade guy, and grade is king."

The camp has three delineated deposits and numerous additional targets. In 2021 44 drillholes were completed returning high-grade gold.

The company is led by a proven management team and board with extensive technical and capital markets experience. Gordon is past president of New Pacific Metals, and vice-president corporate development at Silvercorp Metals and at Mag Silver.
