Latest NEET 2026 NTA Update: Aadhaar Card & Document Updation Mandatory Before Registration
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a crucial advisory for NEET UG 2026 aspirants, urging all candidates to update and verify their Aadhaar Card details before filling the NEET UG 2026 application form. To ensure a smooth registration process and prevent application rejection due to document mismatches, candidates must confirm that their Aadhaar name, date of birth, photograph, address, and other details correctly match the information entered in the NEET form. This update is part of NTA’s efforts to improve candidate identity verification, reduce errors, and avoid verification grievances during counselling and exam day checks. Along with Aadhaar, candidates should also update UDID cards (for PwD candidates) and reservation category certificates (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) ahead of the application window opening. Aspirants should complete these updates well in advance of the anticipated NEET UG 2026 registration start (expected soon on official portals nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in).
