We built a custom PC specifically for robotics development, and it’s now fully running on Linux Ubuntu 22.04. This build includes everything needed for working with robot hardware and software — from high-performance processing to efficient cooling and expandable components. It’s compact, affordable, and powerful enough to support long-term robotics projects.

This machine will serve as the foundation for learning and building with ROS 2 (Robot Operating System), programming autonomous systems, and running AI tools that help robots navigate, sense, and make decisions. With Ubuntu set up and working, we're ready to install development tools, connect sensors, and simulate robots in real time.

This is the type of computer we’ll use in our robotics program — whether in the lab, the workshop, or the classroom. It gives us full control over how we build, test, and deploy robotic systems, and it’s the first step toward hands-on learning in modern robotics.
