CIVA can:
- Simulate efficiently realistic and various NDT configurations:
o Draw/Import the CAD profile of the components
o Many types of defects: Various shapes, orientation and locations
o Various methods: UT, ET, GWT, RT, TT
o Conventional to advanced techniques (phased-array, Eddy Current arrays, ...)
o Fast simulations: From ray tracing to field mapping and inspection simulation
- Predict detectability to find the right technique and prepare your inspection with simulations. Reduce the number of trials and mock-ups!
- Innovation: Optimize performances (e.g. Phased-Array UT) to speed-up the inspection (less probes, larger coverage, enhanced sensitivity). Try to simulate it first, before investing in the probe!
- Understand complex signals to improve analysis techniques.
- Improve reliability: Estimate POD at a lower cost with simulations!
