Calico Ghost Town, Campground and Tour

Описание к видео Calico Ghost Town, Campground and Tour

Calico Ghost Town Campground and the town are a great place to tour during the pandemic. It's outdoors, easy to social distance & if you love the old west - this place is it!

I'm from Arizona so I really love wide open spaces & the loveliness of a brown desert.

Watch my compilation video before you go so you have an idea of what to expect. You can RV Camp or rent a cabin for the night ($70). We did not RV camp so I'm not sure of the pricing. The website was down when we planned our trip, so we went into town, walked to the office & paid for our cabin in person. The people were really nice. The Facebook page is current & updated on a regular basis so I'd start there for information & going's on. FB link below.

This is our third time visiting Calico. This video was filmed Halloween 2020 - during the pandemic. It was still a lot of fun. Stick around to the middle of my video so you can see the creepiest cool halloween animatronic I've ever seen, 05:05. It's something Rob Zombie would own.

• Be aware there's no grass or greenery anywhere, just all brown desert for miles.

• There is no shade at the cabin & RV campground. Bring sunscreen.

• If you cabin camp or RV camp your shoes will get very dusty & dirty.

• There are a lot of flies, especially if you cabin or RV camp. I don't know why, but they were really annoying and thick. I own a great bug zapper & I'll be bringing it next time we come.

• Inside the cabins there is only one outlet.. one ! 07:52

• Mattresses in the cabins were surprisingly comfy. Bring your own linens.

• I chose to cook with a hot plate & electric pressure cooker, instead of charcoal grilling. When I'm hungry I don't want to have to wait for my food.haha. BBQ & fire pits available.

• Don't forget Smore's skewers & pop-up tent for sunny days.

• There is no internet. Large clean dumpsters available to clean up after you leave.

• There are 24/7 bathroom & shower facilities down the lane from the cabins. The showers run on quarters, so bring those & your chanclas (shower shoes). $1 is good. The showers are nice & hot right away.
