Anime are littered with abilities that a character shouldn’t ever use, but obviously they still do and we get to enjoy those really cool anime scenes! A forbidden ability comes with drawbacks, consequences or is just too catastrophic to ever use. It can cause more harm than actual gain in a battle, and is usually used as a last resort when the character is out of options. In this video we have compiled a list of forbidden abilities that we could recall seeing in anime so far, and we have gathered some of the greatest ones for your enjoyment! We have abilities like Athena’s Exclamation from Saint Seiya, Eight Gates from Naruto and even the latest Cursed Devil ability from Chainsaw Man! We also discuss the details of the ability, and try to put together the reasons they were forbidden in the first place, while some make sense, some reasons really don’t.
