This a classic film by Richard Bock produced in 1973. "The Early Years" shows what it was like to be with Sathya Sai Baba, our dear Swami, in the years 1964-68. Catch magical glimpses of the 39th Birthday Celebrations of the Lord and become part of the queue to place a garland at His Lotus Feet. Participate in the mass Upanayanam (thread ceremony where the boys are initiated into the Gayatri Mantra) which Swami conducted in 1965. Then, travel with the Avatar to the city of Bombay in 1967.

The snapshots of the Shivarathri festival of 1968 will thrill the eyes, ears and hearts as we witness Swami unfurl the Prasanthi flag, do the Vibhuti Abhishekam and the miraculous Lingodbhavam before distributing that holy ash to all the devotees assembled.
