In this animation, get to know the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health (CIHR-ICRH). CIHR-ICRH is one of 13 virtual Institutes that make up the CIHR. CIHR-ICRH supports a wide range of research communities that address the causes, mechanisms, prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, support systems, and palliation for a wide range of conditions associated with the heart, lung, brain (stroke), blood, blood vessels, critical care and sleep. CIHR-ICRH fulfills its mandate by launching strategic funding opportunities, engaging in strategic partnerships, and providing key development activities to support the health research community.
