PCOs on Ultrasound ( part 1)

Описание к видео PCOs on Ultrasound ( part 1)

Polycystic ovaries is the condition in which ovaries produces multiple immature follicles. Most common it is bilateral. Unilateral PCOs is rare.
Typical appearance on Ultrasound is visulization of multiple same sized immature follicles at the peripheral region with central echogenic stroma.

2 types of variation is appreciated on Ultrasound.( this division is according to my experience)

1st one is somehow safe for some extent, as there is healthy maturiing follicle found in ovaries alongwith typical appearance of PCOs. Sometime it is found in single ovary sometime it is found in both ovaries.
This type exhibit some minor symptoms e. g facial acne. Patient have regular cycle. Natural pregnancy is possible with this.

2nd type exhibit typical appearance of PCOs alongwith signs and symptoms as well.

2nd type will be discussed in the later video.
