2024 US MTB Series, Finch Park, CAT 3 Mens 50+, Team CUTTERS (see description)

Race # 10 was at Finch Park in Lexington NC. Despite all the rain we have been getting lately ,the trail conditions were just about perfect as was the weather during the race. With only 2 races left in the series I decided,and was encouraged by team members, to finish the series in CAT 3 where I started to help ensure a Team CUTTERS win for the series. We did very well earning the max 100 points and keeping Team Clemmons to 92 points. I was 1 of 5 first place finishes. The race for my category was 3 laps totalling 13.75 miles. This was a fast and flowy course with less than 1000 ft of total ascending. I finished with an average speed of 12.1mph and an average heart rate of 155 BPM. This was a fun ride and I felt good with no cramping! Anyways the next race , the series finally, is 8/11/24 at Salisbury Mountain Bike Park. Hopefully the hurricane will change path and not be over NC the day before the race.
