Ai - Below the Surface is an experimental surreal short film inspired by the visionary works of Maya Deren, Stan Brakhage, and Yayoi Kusama.

The story centers on Ai, the alter ego of the filmmaker, as she conducts an experiment to capture her dreams using an apparatus resembling the lens of a camera. Divided into five phases, each representing a stage of sleep, the film grows increasingly surreal as Ai descends into her subconscious. The camera serves as a medium to document the undocumentable—her dreams. With striking visuals and a dreamlike narrative, the film invites viewers to immerse themselves in the fluidity of dreams.
