MY GEAR
I have a Yamaha Claviona CLP 230 piano along with a Yamaha P-90 stage piano. I don't have a preferance for Yamaha, they are simply the cheapest option. I also own a Schecter Sgr 7 which I run through a POD HD into Cubase 5. The only other piece of gear I own would be my SE Z3300a Condenser microphone.

Hey, my name is Leo Faulkner. I am eighteen and have played piano since a young age. Alot of people believe that I am likely to therefore enjoy classical music more than anything else but infact I tend to prefer genres such as progressive metal, acoustic music and even alot of electronic music. The point is, my musical taste is pretty broad. In addition to making Youtube covers, I am the sole originator for my ongoing musical project "Dusk" for which I regularly release concept tracks and the like. I am enroled for the Bristol Institute Of Modern Music to do a comercial songwriting degree next academic year and I have a relatively deep understanding of music from a theoretical perspective. But from personal experience, with an instrument like piano, which in essence is a range of notes laid out in a long row infront of you, sometimes people will tend to approach the learning proccess in their own way, a way that they find easier to understand. I intend to teach in such a way that caters for this aspect, allowing the student a much more comprehensive and personalised yet still structured way of learning the instrument.

I am willing to teach anyone anything about piano, be that just general technique or a specific song you might want to learn. A few people will know me from the interpretive piano covers I have done on the internet of songs by progressive metal bands such as Periphery, Animals As Leaders and Corelia. I am willing to teach you how I play any of these, or perhaps there is a song you like, which is not primarily written for piano, but you would like some aid in interpereting for yourself. I am not a particularly busy person either, which means that I am very flexible with regard to booking lessons; I am always merely an email away!
