CASIO CZ-101 (Phase Distortion Synthesizer)

This music in this video was created by overdubbing custom tone patches of a single synthesizer, the CASIO CZ-101.
The CZ-101 is a fully digital synthesizer with PD (Phase Distortion) Synthesis, released by CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. in 1984.
Its analog synthesizer-like configuration makes it easy to create sounds, while the 8-step envelope editing function allows for complex waveform editing.
In this video, effects such as delay and chorus are added to each tone, and the sound quality is further adjusted with an equalizer.
The CZ-101 is connected to a wireless MIDI interface (QUICCO mi.1 Rev.3), which loads tones from the CZ Touch app on a wirelessly connected iPad.
