Friends, Ash got his first gym badge from Brock. But I doubt if he got this on his own. Because his rock pokemon was sick because of water. Brock gave him this badge because Ash loved pokemon and saved his pokemon from damage. In this episode, we saw Misty didn't pay for her bills, and Ash was left for that. Which was funny. I loved how Brock took care of his siblings. Brock's father showed Ash ways of increasing Pikachu's electricity power. Which needed Technical skills and was very mindful of him. Ash and Pikachu got electricity by cycling which was very resilient of them. Because at the end, they are growing as powerful. Now, coming to the match, Pikachu did got some training and his electricity attack was stronger than before. But while the match, Pikachu was struggling again same time it did before. Then water fell on the rock Pokemon and it started dying. So, it was the situation and if Ash had attacked, it would have been an immoral winning. But from what we have seen, Pikachu couldn't have defeated that pokemon. But still Ash got that badge, because Ash cared about pokaemon, he had moral values and he was emotional. These values are crucial to win a gym trainer's heart, which already did. At first, we see Misty offering help to Ash to win the stone badge. Misty was a water Pokemon trainer, she knew how to defeat a stone Pokemon. Stone Pokemon are weak to water Pokemon and Misty was experienced about it. But Ash refused her help because he wanted to win the match on his own. But later, he accepted Brock's father's help to increase Pikachu's energy. Because this was the help that came naturally to him. So, we can say, Ash won that badge because he was true to himself. At the end scene, we see Brock's father noting how to take care of the kids. But I wondered if he knew the names or remembered the kids' names to take care of each of them.
