Once you are ready to go, head to the Altar of Truth to find the secret optional boss: The Legendary Spirit Sorcerer.

Strategy:

Mack is required, and other then that I suggest using all 4 immortals. Level 8 black magic is all you really need to win this battle very very easily. You don't even really need this - it will just help you along much easier.

Don't bother with buffing, because he will debuff anything you put on with Reset All. He can also slow you down with All - Fall.

He will summon various help for this battle. The first is the Obsidian Miasma - but this is a pretty easy thing to handle. Go ahead and give it all you've got with an all out offense strategy. The Sorcerer will still attack you during this time as well as the Miasma.

After the Miasma is gone, don't bust out everything you've got this time either because he will call for more help. You can spend the time healing if you need it in between summons. Again, buffing is not recommended.

The two souls are where the level 8 magic becomes important because we want the spell Death. Use two mages to cast one Death spell each aimed at each of the souls. It'll take two turns to cast, but once you cast it, it should nail these guys and take them out instantly. If you don't kill them both at the same time, one will revive the other, and sacrifice all it's HP/MP and transfer it to the sorcerer.

After you've taken care of the Souls and the Miasma, the Sorcerer won't hide behind any more summons. So give him all you've got! Pelt him with Windus and your physical attacks. He should be finished off relatively quickly after this. Remember to stay healed!

After the battle you'll get a [Slot Seed], [New Backyard Journal], and the spirit magic [Sacrifice Self]. Before leaving, we'll want to place the Enchanter's Mask on the altar to the north that the item shop keeper gave to us. And last but not least, collect the treasure from the treasure hunt here for a [Phoenix Discus] and [Phoenix Ring].

Now you can get the hell out of this place!
