1956 Ford Dempster Dumpmaster Garbage Truck in Action!

I am proud to present a demonstration video of a 1956 Ford F-800 Dempster Dumpmaster Garbage Truck! A couple months ago, I stumbled upon a picture of this truck on the internet. Upon looking closer at the picture I could see that the hydraulics, tires, lights, etc looked like they were in great condition. I immediately knew that if there was any chance this truck ran I had to get a video of it. Fast forward a few weeks later, after gathering enough information we headed up in hopes of catching this beast on film. After handing out a few 20s and convincing the owner/managers they sent someone down to give us a demo. Turns out this truck is just on site to move stuff around! According to some of the workers they start it up once or twice a month to keep it maintained. I was expecting it to sound a little more “beastly” but turns out it is powered by gasoline and not diesel fuel!
No refuse enthusiast should miss the opportunity of watching this once in a life time video!
