Thoth | Master of the Balance

Though gods of war, death, and divine retribution can be exciting, gods of wisdom and of knowledge were vital to the individual and to society as a whole. The Ancient Egyptians knew this well, and revered Thoth, the ibis-headed scribe of the gods and counselor to Ra himself. While taking a more supportive role in many of Egypt's myths, Thoth regularly displays his prowess as a guide, a teacher, a counselor, and the keeper of the secrets of the universe!
