Exploring Baldhead Island NC

We have heard what a special place Baldhead Island is for several years! Mike, Cindy, Lisa and I sail L'Aventure over on a hot August day to find an amazing sanctuary. The island features marsh land, forests, great beaches, golfing, wonderful restaurants and shopping. We loved all the people that make Baldhead run including Ben, the dock master and Jules who owns the marina restaurant complete with live music. The 200 year old live oaks were amazing as well as Old Baldy lighthouse. You can sail or take the ferry from Southport NC here. Thanks to John and Beth for their encouragement to sail over and discover this amazing island gem.
