Diljit Dosanjh: ED has conducted raids in five states in connection with the investigation of money laundering related to illegal ticket sales for the concert of Coldplay and Diljit Dosanjh. These raids have been conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Bengaluru. This step has been taken after several FIRs were registered in various states in connection with fraudulent ticket sales.
Fans are very excited about Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres World Tour" and Diljit Dosanjh's "Dil-Luminati" concerts. Due to this, tickets were sold out quickly on platforms like Book My Show and Zomato Live. Due to this, there was black marketing of these tickets. After this, reports of fraud or fraudulent selling of tickets to many people came to light.
Book My Show had filed a complaint
BookMyShow had filed an FIR against several suspects. It was alleged that they were selling fake tickets. Apart from this, they were selling tickets at higher prices. After this, ED started an investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. In connection with this investigation, ED has raided more than 13 places in five states. In this, ED has seized objectionable material like mobile phones, laptops and SIM cards used in the scam.
ED issued a statement
The investigating agency said in the statement, "Several FIRs have been registered in various states across the country, including the FIR lodged by Book My Show. In this, several suspects have been accused of exploiting concert goers. It has been alleged in the FIR that these people are selling fake tickets in view of the demand for tickets. They are black marketing tickets.
