Lackawanna Cut-Off - Part 36: Who Is Frances Burke Keating?

This is our first time being able to speak to a direct descendant of two of the builders of the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Cut-Offs. Join us as we meet Frances Burke Keating, the great-granddaughter and great-niece of Timothy Burke and John Burke, respectively, who built Sections 1 and 5 of the New Jersey Cut-Off, respectively. Timothy's construction company also built Section 7 of the Pennsylvania Cut-Off near Hop Bottom, PA. John Burke was involved with Section 5 of the Pennsylvania Cut-Off, but was not given any direct credit for that, as that section was built by the Flickwir & Bush Construction Company. Fran and husband, Dom, who was interviewed in Part 35, also give us more background on the Burke brothers and their history.
