Surely everyone already knows that an ordinary medical mask is a very unreliable means of protection against virus infection. Air chooses the path of least resistance, and most often this path runs through the cracks between the face and the mask. In addition, exhaled air moisturizes the surface of the mask, which creates an ideal environment for the survival of microorganisms.

Based on the foregoing, a respirator with an intake and exhaust valve was designed and manufactured:    • 🔅 DIY Respirator from Iuri’s Workshop  
However, some weaknesses were identified in the first model. In particular, the mask body did not retain its shape, which is why it had to be pressed harder to the face. Valve throughput was low for quick walking or running.
These flaws were addressed in the second mask model. If you have any questions about the design of the mask, I will be happy to answer them.
