Okii USB Follow Focus Controller for Canon HDSLR cameras

It is a USB Follow Focus controller that can do LOT more than changing focus. It's compatible with all Canon HDSLR cameras. Check full details at the BLOG (URL above).

This video has no sound (sorry), it's only intended to show some operations and features of the USB controller.

Also, since the LED is very bright, in this video it is not easy to see how good it actually is and how much it tells (changing colors, etc.) once you learn the controller's operation.

NOTE: Not every step shown here is necessary in a real world operation.

Basically, on this video we did the following operations:

ISO adjustment
Turn Live View mode ON (ISO, aperture, shutter speed and exposure compensation can also be changed in LV mode)
Check focus of subject "David" using zoom level function, and save focus point #1 for later use
Move the focus zone to the subject "chair", adjust focus using the knob with the help of zoom level and save focus point #2
Start recording video
Rack focus from focus point #2 to focus point #1 by simply pressing focus point #1
Stop recording video
Move the focus zone to subject "David" to show that the rack focus was done properly.

Step by step description:

0:03 - 0:06 Change to Settings Mode (blue LED)

0:07 - 0:10 ISO adjustment

0:11 - 0:13 Change to Focus Zone mode (purple LED) (completely unnecessary)

0:14 - 0:17 Turn Live View mode ON (ISO, aperture, shutter speed & exposure compensation can also be changed in LV mode)

0:18 - 0:21 Check focus of subject "David" using zoom level function

0:22 - 0:24 Change to Focus Points mode (green LED)

0:25 - 0:27 Save focus point #1 (David) for later use (LED blinks once)

0:28 - 0:29 Change to Focus Zone mode (purple LED)

0:30 - 0:41 Center Focus Zone then move it to the subject "chair"

0:42 - 0:49 Zoom Level x5 and adjust focus using the knob

0:50 - 0:55 Zoom Level x10 and focus fine adjustment using the knob

0:56 - 0:57 Zoom Level x1 (default)

0:58 - 1:04 Change to Focus Points mode (green LED). Save focus point #2 "chair" (LED blinks once)

1:05 - 1:09 Start recording video (LED turns red)

1:10 - 1:15 Rack focus from focus point #2 to focus point #1 by simply pressing focus point #1 (LED blinks once)

1:16 - 1:18 Stop recording video (LED returns to current mode color)

1:21 - 1:35 Change to Focus Zone mode (purple LED). Center focus zone and move the zone to subject "David".

1:36 - 1:43 Zoom Level x5 and x10 to show that the rack focus was done properly
