The Christian life, as understood in the Orthodox Church is radically different than any other understanding. Perhaps our understanding of that which motivates us and energizes us and saves us could be summed up in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ to His apostles: “So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.” Let’s look at this radical difference, and its beauty elegance and energy.
