The video follows the complete industrial workflow of pencil manufacturing, starting with the selection and cutting of cedar planks. These planks are dried, planed, and precisely shaped into slats that form the wooden body of the pencil. In parallel, graphite and clay are mixed, extruded, and baked to create strong, consistent graphite cores used in pencil manufacturing.

As the process continues, grooved cedar slats receive the graphite cores and are bonded under pressure to form solid blocks. These blocks are milled into individual pencil shapes, sanded smooth, and prepared for surface finishing. Each pencil is painted, dried, and stamped under controlled daylight conditions to ensure uniform appearance and durability.

The later stages of pencil manufacturing focus on assembly and quality control. Metal ferrules are attached, erasers are inserted, and sample pencils are sharpened and tested for writing performance. Every pencil is visually inspected to confirm straightness, finish quality, and graphite alignment.
