বিচিত্র পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচন। নির্বাচন হয়ে গেছে। ফলাফল ঘোষণা হয়ে গেছে। তার আটদিন বাদে উদ্ধার হচ্ছে সিল করা ব্যালট বাক্স। যার ভেতরে সযত্নে রাখা আছে গাজোলের মানুষের মতামত।
গাজোল ব্লকের স্ট্রং-রুম ও গণনা কেন্দ্র করা হয়েছিল গাজোল এইচএনএম হাইস্কুলে। ৮ দিন বন্ধ থাকার পর আজই স্কুল খোলে। ক্লাসরুম পরিস্কার করতে গেলে স্কুল কর্তৃপক্ষ আবিস্কার করেন, একটি বন্ধ ঘরে প্লাস্টিক মোড়া অবস্থায় পড়ে রয়েছে তিনটি সিল করা ব্যালট বাক্স। নম্বর মিলিয়ে দেখা যায়, ওই ব্যালট বাক্সগুলি গাজলের ২০৭ নম্বর বুথের।
