Steely Dan - The Bear (Ultimate Restoration) mix 1

This is my restoration of the original "The Bear" outtake using various novel audio engineering wizardry methods to bring out clarity in all tracks and defeat the distortion present in the outtake.

All has been mixed using only period appropriate gear and methods and nothing else, including spending a full day tuning an EMT 140 plate reverb to sound EXACTLY like the original 140 they used down to waveform-level. No modern recording or mixing techniques has been applied to this what so ever.

I will eventually do further work on the mix, including making a mix that's going to sound like Gaucho. I do think there's something special about the dark, heavy sound of the outtake though, so I'll keep this version up for anyone wanting to listen to it.
