Rachel & James celebrated a beautiful wedding at the Granary at Cabra Castle on Saturday, 23rd September 2023. This heartwarming day was shared with their lovely daughter Araleyah, their furry friend Shiela, and cherished family and friends. Join us in reliving the magical moments through this wedding video.

My journey began early that Saturday morning, departing from my home in Donegal Town, brimming with excitement for my first filming experience at the newly unveiled Granary at Cabra Castle. While I've had the privilege of capturing the Castle's beauty many times, the Granary adds a new layer of majesty to this historic estate. Renowned as one of Ireland's premier luxury castle wedding venues, the Granary stands out for its ability to host both the ceremony and the reception.

The Granary's defining feature is the abundance of natural light that streams through its grand feature windows, casting an ethereal glow throughout the space. This luminosity is further enhanced by the full-length windows leading to a charming patio area. When Rachel and James chose the Granary for their ceremony, my excitement knew no bounds!

My first stop led me to James's family home, a short distance from Omagh. Best man Matthew Eccles and groomsman Paul-Dwane McMenamin were there to support James as he prepared for his big day. Meanwhile, Sarah, James's sister and bridesmaid, readied herself at the family home. Photographer Gemma G joined us shortly after, marking the beginning of an elegant morning as the gentlemen dressed in their stylish suits.

After capturing beautiful family portraits, we headed to Cabra Castle, where the bridal preparations were in full swing. The maid of honor, Hazel Armstrong, played a crucial role, with Sinead Gaffney Hair and Nicola Murphy handling makeup. The exquisite floral arrangements were provided by Anne from Carrickmacross.

With preparations nearly complete, it was time for the ceremony officiated by Celebrant Ann Dempsey, an One Spirit Interfaith Minister & Celebrant. The ceremony featured touching moments, including a Realistic Wedding Poem recited by Evan Darcy (Rachel's nephew), a reading from St. Paul to the Corinthians by Maria Needham (James' Auntie), a reading of "To Love is Not to Possess" by James Kavanagh (read by Pat Holland, James' Godfather), and a Blessing of the Hands by Catherine Smith (Rachel's godmother, who traveled from Sydney, Australia). The enchanting music for the ceremony was provided by Robbie Darcy, Rachel's brother.

Following the exchange of vows, rings, and that heartwarming first kiss, which drew cheers from the attendees, the newlyweds gracefully exited the Granary to greet their guests. The guests were then directed into the historic castle for a delightful drinks reception.

After the delectable meal, it was time for dancing! The Nooks band took charge of the evening's festivities, ensuring a night of fun and entertainment for all.

We extend our heartfelt wishes to Rachel, James, and Araleyah for a lifetime filled with happiness and treasured moments. We're deeply grateful that you chose us to capture your beautiful wedding at the Granary at Cabra Castle.
