‪@ThatOneVideoGamer‬ released a video recently breaking down a study showing that 87% of old games are not available to purchase outside of the second hand market. It was a great video, but it did not talk much about how we got to this point. However, this video does talk about why I think the industry doesn't want preservation, at least from my point of view.

Games shown in order: Ms. Pac Man, Galaxian, Super Mario Bros, Joust, Roadblasters, Wave Race 64, R Racing Evolution, MERCS, The New Tetris, Madden NFL 2005, NFL Blitz, Super Smash Bros Melee, Perfect Dark, Timesplitters 2, Ridge Racer 64, Enduro Racer, Donkey Kong Jr., Ecco The Dolphin, San Francisco Rush 2049, Sensible Soccer, Gauntlet II, Quake, Todd's Adventures In Slime World, Rampage World Tour
