Four horses running loose on North Ridgeville roads on Monday caused a traffic disruption and drew multiple 911 calls.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Center Ridge Road and Maddock Road after callers reported the animals in the roadway, North Ridgeville police said.

After about 30 minutes of what the department described as “horseplay,” officers, with help from nearby residents, were able to guide Joey and his friends safely back home.

“Thank you to those who stopped to help our officer and the owners, it was really appreciated,” the department wrote in a post.

Police also noted that dash cam footage and 911 calls featured in the video at were synced together for presentation purposes and only a selection of the calls received were included.
