Ipswich History Walk 6 | Pubs and People

I’m back in Ipswich again taking a look at the town’s history. I start at Curzon Lodge, an old Tudor house, which is now a community space to sell products, exhibit artwork and a venue for events. They have a website (www.chipcic.co.uk) which is well worth looking at.
I take a look at the outside of St. Nicholas Church and the statue to Prince Alexander Obolensky, a former RAF pilot and England rugby player. I find a haunted house and several interesting pubs. Elm Street Ipswich was interesting, especially the plaque to jean Ingelow whop was a poet.
