FULL | Documentary: SONG OF SURVIVORS, story of fleeing Nazi oppression to Shanghai in 1930s

"Song of Survivors" is a novel about love written by Chinese-Canadian writer Bei La. It is regarded as the Shanghai version of "Gone With the Wind”. The novel, published in 2019, tells the story of a Jewish couple, Michael Medavoy and Dora Medavoy, fleeing Nazi oppression to begin a new life in Shanghai in the late 1930s.
