GIDS Unveils Shahpar-III Group 4+ MALE UCAV at IDEAS 2024

Global Industrial & Defence Solutions (GIDS) proudly unveiled the Shahpar 3, a state-of-the-art Group 4+ Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV), at the highly anticipated IDEAS 2024 defense exhibition. Designed to meet the evolving demands of modern warfare, the Shahpar 3 combines innovation, reliability, and cutting-edge technology, offering unparalleled capabilities for surveillance, reconnaissance, and combat missions.

The Shahpar 3 sets a new benchmark in unmanned aerial systems with its exceptional payload flexibility and performance. Boasting an external payload capacity of 400 kilograms across six wing-mounted hardpoints, the drone is equipped to carry various munitions and advanced sensors. Internally, it supports 165 kilograms for ISR missions and 75 kilograms for armed operations, ensuring mission versatility and adaptability.

Powered by a 170-horsepower engine, the Shahpar 3 delivers an endurance of up to 30 hours for ISR missions or 16 hours in combat mode, enabling sustained operations in critical scenarios. Its operational ceiling of 35,000 feet for ISR and 30,000 feet for armed missions ensures dominance in high-altitude missions.

The Shahpar 3 features a molded high-strength composite structure with retractable landing gear, ensuring durability and aerodynamic efficiency. With indigenously developed avionics, it integrates advanced systems like dual redundant flight controls, AI-powered target detection, real-time image-based geo-referencing, and post-flight video analysis. These capabilities enable unmatched precision and responsiveness in complex mission environments.

Connectivity is another hallmark of the Shahpar 3. With SATCOM capability, the drone supports Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLoS) operations over 2,500 kilometers, while its Line-of-Sight (LoS) communication extends to 250 kilometers, offering robust command and control in any situation. The inclusion of an ATC transponder/IFF system ensures safe and seamless integration into controlled airspace.
