Breaking records in Singapore | Shell Eco-marathon

2017 was the first year Shell Eco-marathon Asia was hosted in Singapore, as part of #makethefuture festival. Over 120 teams representing 20 countries showed up to prove how energy-efficient they could be. During March 16-19, records were broken and new champions were crowned. For over 30 years, Shell Eco-marathon has been challenging student teams around the world to design, build, test and drive ultra-energy-efficient vehicles, pushing the boundaries of what is technically possible.
