Disney fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, set to hit theaters in 2023. Either to enjoy it or criticize it depending on their personal stance on live-action remakes. And although everyone has seen the 1989 Disney Original, many people aren’t familiar with the original fairytale… and just how messed up it is.
