রাজধানীর সড়কগুলোর শোভা বর্ধনে সড়কদ্বীপগুলোতে লাগানো হয়েছে সবুজ নানান গাছ। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে রেইনট্রি, ইপিলইপিল, ইউক্যালিপটাসের মতো বিদেশি গাছ। এসব গাছের মূল অনেক গভীর যাওয়ার কথা থাকলেও সড়কদ্বীপের তা যেতে পারছে না। এতে দমকা ও ঝড়ো হাওয়াতেও উপড়ে পড়ছে গাছ।
