A Moonlit Night on the Spring River | The dance and the “poem of all poems” 春江花月夜 | “顶峰中的顶峰”诗词下的大唐

A poet of the early Tang Dynasty, Zhang Ruoxu was best known for “A Moonlit Night on the Spring River” (Chun Jiang Hua Yue Ye, 春江花月夜), which was considered an extraordinary work. The poem describes the beautiful scenery of the moonlit river in the springtime, the ephemerality of life, as well as the sorrow of travelers. The poem was praised as “the poem of all poems, the summit of all summits” by Wen Yiduo, a prominent Chinese poet in the early 20th century.

The song and dance performance “A Moonlit Night on the Spring River” brings the audience back to the awe-inspiring Tang dynasty with the splendid scenery of a moonlit night and blossoming flowers.

《春江花月夜》是初唐诗人张若虚的代表作品，具有较高的审美价值。诗歌描写了春江的美景，面对江月时作者的人生思考，以及游子的离愁别绪。《春江花月夜》曾被闻一多评价为“诗中的诗，顶峰中的顶峰”。
