20" K Zildjian Ride Comparison: Constantinople Medium Thin High vs. Medium Thin Low

Описание к видео 20" K Zildjian Ride Comparison: Constantinople Medium Thin High vs. Medium Thin Low

I bought a 20" Zildjian Constantinople Medium Thin Low ride late last year, and I like it a lot. It's dark, has a nice wash, and can sound downright trashy. Surprisingly, it also has a very nice amount of stick definition for such a lightweight (1980g) cymbal.

Check out my comparison of other K Zildjian rides to see how this fits among the others:    • Comparing 6 different K Zildjian 20" ...

As much as I like the Medium Thin Low, I kept wondering whether I'd like the Medium Thin High a little more—since the low, dark, trashy sound isn't exactly perfect for the types of music I play.

So, I found a used Medium Thin High and I thought I'd do a short video comparing them. And yeah, I like the Medium Thin High too. It has the light weight (allegedly 1966g, though I didn't weigh it) and the stick definition of the Low but with a (duh) slightly higher pitch. I think I could use this one even more frequently in a wider range of music.

Only downside: There's not much of a distinct bell sound. The Low doesn't have much of a separate bell sound either, but the High has even less. But whatever.

What do you think?
