Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the 'Jajati-2025' festival in Jajpur district, unveiling development projects worth nearly ₹1,000 crore.

Key Announcements:
Jajati Keshari Medical College and Hospital inaugurated with 50 MBBS seats.
₹50 crore allocated for enhancing Maa Biraja Temple complex.
New bus terminal to be developed at ₹30 crore.
Biraja Agnishwar market to be developed at ₹21.43 crore.
Expansion of temple dharmashala at ₹10 crore.

Jajpur is also attracting major investments, with ₹1 lakh crore worth of proposals. Notably, Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited is setting up a crude oil storage facility with an investment of ₹8,743 crore, expected to create over 5,000 jobs.

Statewide Sports Infrastructure Development

The Odisha government has approved ₹4,124 crore for the development of stadiums in all 314 blocks of the state. These multi-sport facilities will support football, cricket, athletics, volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho, and indoor sports like badminton, table tennis, gymnastics, weightlifting, and gym activities.

Strengthen grassroots sports infrastructure.
Nurture local talent in various disciplines.
Completion targeted within five years.
Ambitious Road Development Plan

Public Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan announced an aggressive road expansion plan to construct 15,000 kilometers per year, totaling 75,000 kilometers in five years. The initiative aims to enhance connectivity and reduce road accidents across Odisha.

Policy Highlights:
Utility corridors to prevent repeated road excavations for water, electricity, and communication lines.
Standardized bridge construction guidelines.
Financial provisions to expedite land acquisition in rural areas.
Regular road inspections and maintenance, especially during monsoons.
New High-Level Bridge Over Mahanadi River

The Odisha Cabinet has sanctioned ₹128 crore for the construction of a high-level bridge on the Brahmankanda-Sahukheta road in Salepur block, Cuttack district. This bridge will improve connectivity between Cuttack-Paradip and Cuttack-Chandbali roads.
