Procrastination, hesitation, fear of failure, fear of success, self-doubt, impostor syndrome and fear of rejection are the thieves of our dreams. These runaway emotions all too often dominate our lives and hinder our ability to be healthy, happy, and financially free, but where do these culprits come from and how do we change them? At the age of 17, three grown men tried to take his life because of the color of his skin. This ignited runaway emotions that spiraled Joseph’s life out of control, ultimately leaving him homeless, helpless, and lost. His path to healing includes a Doctorate in neuropsychology, partnering with industry pioneers like Les Brown, Jim Rohn & Tony Robbins, and developing the signature behavior change methodology of Neuroencoding. In this talk Joseph McClendon III demonstrates a simple Neuroenoding technique for catching and shifting runaway emotions-- before they become something that requires years of therapy or drugs. Joseph McClendon III is one of the most sought-after Ultimate Performance Specialists on the planet. With a Doctorate in Neuropsychology and a roster of coaching clients that includes Oscar & Grammy winning artists, Olympic athletes, Fortune 500 CEOs and even royalty, Joseph’s Neuroencoding methods have been proven among the elite for decades. Now he helps others learn the Neuroencoding method at The Neuroendocing Institute, and when he isn’t hosting sessions with students, or traveling the world speaking, you can find him at home in Southern California with his teenage son, tending garden, playing bass, and hanging out with Toby, the family corgi. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
