This video has been put together to show the variety of freight that was handled by a small station such as Saffron Walden and the large number of staff that were employed to handle it.

The running of the trains has been put together from the LNER working timetable, details in P. Paye's excellent book on the branch, the locomen's roster for the two shifts of men who ran the trains and advertisements and articles in the local newspapers.
