Pimlico Race Course is the second-oldest racetrack in the United States, after Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. It is located in Baltimore, Maryland, and is home to the Preakness Stakes, the second leg of the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing.

Pimlico was founded in 1870 by a group of Baltimore businessmen, including William R. Johnson, John Merryman, and John Ellicott. The track was named after the Pimlico neighborhood of Baltimore, which was named after a village in Surrey, England.
