FGD Consumer Behaviour

Описание к видео FGD Consumer Behaviour

Today, I had the pleasure of conducting a Focused Group Discussion (FGD) as part of my Consumer Behavior course for our MBA students at @gbs_hubli . This hands-on experience was an enriching exercise, both for myself and the students.

The Experience
Engaging students in an FGD allowed them to witness firsthand the intricacies of consumer behavior research. We delved into various aspects of consumer preferences, motivations, and attitudes, fostering an environment of open dialogue and critical thinking. The dynamic nature of the discussion highlighted the diverse perspectives and insights that can emerge from a well-facilitated group.

Importance of FGDs in Consumer Research
Demonstrating an FGD to students is crucial for several reasons:
1. Practical Application: It bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Students can see how theories and concepts are applied in actual consumer research.
2. Skills Development: Conducting FGDs enhances essential skills such as moderating discussions, active listening, and interpreting qualitative data. These are invaluable for any marketing professional.
3. Deeper Insights: FGDs provide rich, qualitative data that can reveal deeper insights into consumer behavior, which quantitative methods might miss.

Benefits for Student Projects
As our students embark on their consumer research live projects, the experience gained from today's FGD will be instrumental. They now have a clearer understanding of how to:
Design and conduct FGDs: Crafting questions that elicit meaningful responses.
Analyze qualitative data: Identifying patterns, themes, and insights from discussions.
Apply insights: Translating findings into actionable strategies for their projects.

I am immensely proud of our students' enthusiasm and engagement today. I look forward to seeing the innovative and insightful research they will produce in their upcoming projects
