Please note: We are looking for beautifully illustrated books, and engaging stories. Each book should be no longer than 32 pages. We are also looking for books we feel would be a great fit for our audience.

The primary purpose of reading books on our channel is to educate, entertain, and inspire literacy. We are not commercially motivated as access to our channel and episodes is free, so we are essentially a non-profit effort recognizing freedom of expression. We refer to the Fair Use Doctrine which is a legal doctrine that promotes freedom of expression by permitting the unlicensed use of copyright-protected works in certain circumstances. Section 107 of the Copyright Act provides the statutory framework for determining whether something is a fair use.

We view a read-aloud as interpretive work, which doesn’t copy, but rather offers a unique translation of the work. We don’t think that reading a book on our channel replaces or hinders the purchase and subsequent personal use of that book, rather it might encourage it.

If an author, publisher, or copyright holder asks us to remove a read-aloud from our channel, we will respect that request.
