Laminitis is a severe disease which in many cases, sadly means the end for many horses. Some horses out there get lucky and have owners fighting for them and some are very lucky and get all the needed support during their journey out of this very painful journey.

. In 2016 Gunner was diagnosed with laminitis causing a 14% rotation of the coffin bone and was considered terminal. But owner Jess didn’t give up Gunner and today, Gunner is able to school Jess son in the arena or go trail riding with her.

Jess, shared her thoughts on Gunner’s journey with us:
“FormaHoof has been a lifesaver for my horse, literally. He was diagnosed and this was our last shot to save him. He suffered from laminitis over a 3 year period and had a 14% rotation with extremely thin sole.
Within hours of his first application we saw immediate results. He was more comfortable and able to bear weight on his laminitic hoof. This allowed exercise to promote faster healing.
Upon removal of his first application we found the medication in place, a clean dry frog and his of sole depth tipped. After 7 months his vet said he had completely recovered from the rotation.
Prior to FormaHoof we were constantly battling glue on shoes that would fall off, duck taping on pads and wrapping the foot regularly, boots but we could not keep the moisture out of them so then we ended up battling thrush and We were also fighting bacteria where the new half wall was growing out.
