EZtwins & Tobias "For You" | World Of Dance 2019 Qualifier Performance

We can still remember vividly the moment before stepping on that celebrated World Of Dance Stage for the first time:

Three friends, more like brothers, standing in a tight circle in the corner of the backstage. Majority of the acts already performed, with a lot of great dancers getting harsh responses from the judges, and some even getting eliminated. Naturally, that didn't make us feel any less nervous. Our breathing got heavier, we couldn't stand still, shaking our hands and coming to terms with the nerve-wracking excitement that was there to stay. The air around us was electrifying, the energy was almost palpable.

We knew that what we were bringing to the stage was not a performance with millions of tricks and crowd-pleasing moments. We knew it was possible that the public and the judges might not like it or understand it. But for us the most important thing was to be truthful to who we are, we wanted the performance to reflect our style, our vision and our way of expressing through dance.

One of the producers calls out our name and asks us to get ready to enter the stage. A final look at each other and words of encouragement: "Let's just be us and have fun." We ran to the stage - and the rest is history. 😏

We still can't believe that we got the highest score in our division in the qualifier round! The comments from the judges were nothing we would ever expect. Getting such great feedback from everyone was simply surreal! Thank you.
