GBO2 RX-0 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam: Why isn't it a support?!

Описание к видео GBO2 RX-0 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam: Why isn't it a support?!

This video contains two matches I had with the recently released FA Unicorn Gundam on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost general with amazing midrange damage output, great stagger output, the ability to help other allies activate NT-D sooner and the ability to temporarily buff allies damage output. Its weaknesses include only having 21000 HP, being quite vulnerable in close quarters and the need to fully expose itself from around cover in order to shoot from both arms. This suit recently released and I think that people are still trying to figure it out, a lot of people think it is mediocre but I think that it at least has some potential. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary ranged weapon is a beam magnum with 3400 power, 5 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 300m range, 0.8 seconds focus time and 20% stagger value. This needs to focus before firing, but it does incredible damage and has a small splash radius.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2900 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 60% combo modifier and 140% downswing modifier. This has the neutral swing from Nu Gundam and the downswing from Stark Jegan, making it pretty easy to use.
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan with 150 power, 40 ammo, 600 RPM, 11 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 1500 DPS and 6% stagger value. This is really strong for a head vulcan, with great DPS and the ability to stagger in just 1.7 seconds.
Its second sub weapon is a pair of bazookas with 1500x2 power, 12 ammo, 6 seconds cooldown, 20 seconds reload, 1.77 seconds swap time, 300m range and 40%x2 stagger value. This has long reload time but is otherwise quite powerful, with incredible ballistic damage and good splash radius.
Its third sub weapon is a quad beam gatling gun with 250 (377) power, 4% (0%) heat, 520 RPM, 10 (30) seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m (450m) range, 4% (6%) stagger value and 2167 (3267) DPS. This has incredible DPS, making it very useful for following up with after your stuns. If the heat gauge is full, you can press the reload button to enter limiter release mode, it must stop to fire in this mode but it deals much more damage.
Its fourth sub weapon is a pair of incendiary grenade launchers with 200 power, 6 ammo, 240 RPM, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 300m range, 10% stagger value and 450x6 incendiary damage. These don't deal much damage on their own but can set enemies on fire to deal damage over time.
Its fifth sub weapon is a missile launcher with 700 power, 240 RPM, 18 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 400m range and 25% stagger value. These have long range, good splash radius and reticle guidance.
Its sixth sub weapon is a pair of cluster missile launchers with 200x2x2x5 power, 12 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range and 17%x2x2x5 stagger value. These can deal very high stagger accumulation in a pinch and have good damage.

The FA Unicorn Gundam has 21000 HP, 29 ballistic resist, 31 beam resist and 18 melee resist. It doesn't have that much HP and suffers from somewhat low melee resistance, but benefits from good buffers. It has a 25% damage reduction leg buffer, a 30% reduction buffer for the shields that further guards against beam damage, a 30% reduction back buffer alongside LV1 Maneuver Armor and LV2 Emergency Evasion for its defensive skills.
In terms of mobility it has 130 walk speed, 225 boosting speed, 75 thrust and 75 turning speed. Its mobility is like a mix of NT-D and normal mode Unicorn, its raw stats aren't impressive but it gets LV3 Flight Control, LV3 Forced Injector and LV2 Optimized Cooling Efficiency.
It gets two touchpad activated skills. LV1 NT-D Resonance can be activated at 70% HP or lower, it instantly reloads all weapons; adds +10 ranged modifier, +5 melee modifier, enables allies within 200m to activate NT-D regardless of HP and shortens the time needed for allies to activate Awaken mode by 10 seconds. This comes at the cost of losing 40 HP per second.
LV3 Awaken can be activated after 30 seconds have been spent in NT-D, it loses the benefits from NT-D Resonance, but fully restores you and your allies legs/head HP; buffs you and your allies damage by 10% for 30 seconds and reduces your own reload/overheat times by 35%.

In conclusion, I feel that the FA Unicorn Gundam is flawed. It has pretty short range despite being shooting focused, this doesn't do it any favours considering its poor close combat ability in a cost where the meta generals all excel at melee. It definitely has potential as a support unit to help other Unicorns activate NT-D sooner, and it has incredible DPS at least on paper, but I still have a feeling that it will get buffed at some point. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
