Here's something a bit different for you. More of a toy, but its sound chip is a Yamaha YM series 2-operator FM chip very similar to/much more limited than what was in the DX7. This was common but the cool thing about this one (and I think a couple others in the PSS series) is that you can modify your sounds with six physical controls. While it can't shake a stick at a DX7, it's nice to be able to flick a switch and get an immediate sonic difference. Run it through some effects like I did, and you can get some perfectly usable sounds!
