Ok, this one is not for violin beginners, but if you are a beginner, then you should still watch! When it comes to learning some of the most difficult violin techniques (fast runs, awkward double stops, clean shifts, fingered octaves, thirds, regular octaves, tenths, harmonics) sometimes it feels like your fingers cannot remember their exact positions that you laboriously practiced the week before. Part of this is, yeah, you still need to practice more, but if you want to have an easier time of executing these techniques AND streamlining your playing in general there is a little known secret that will greatly increase you progress . . IF you can catch on to it. It will likely take some time to truly understand, but once you get it, you'll wonder why you never did it before!
